Welcome to the website for Reading Families’ Forum.
Reading Families’ Forum (RFF) is an independent charity run by and for families of disabled children and young adults aged 0 – 25 years. We are Reading’s local parent carer forum and are part of the National Network of Parent Carer Forums.
We work to ensure that local parent carers and young people with all additional needs co-produce local services that they use. Co-production means that families are at the heart of discussions, giving their views and experiences about what is needed and setting priorities. Our Trustees and Steering Group attend the local Special Educational Needs and/or Disability (SEND) Strategy Group, various working groups as part of Reading’s SEND Strategy and the SEND Joint Implementation Group with Local Authority and health professionals.
Join our steering group and get involved in these meetings. If parent carers would like to, we encourage you to also join our supportive and friendly Trustee group to help plan our work.
RFF invite parent carers to attend coffee mornings and evenings at least 6 times a year to talk to service providers about what they think and hold Special United events with young people with additional needs aged 8 – 25 years so that they can give their views. See our events page for more details.
If you would like to get involved, please email our participation co-ordinator Fran Morgan at fran.morgan.rff@gmail.com
